Forest Walks & Bike Riding - Bracknell
Project type
Outdoor Wellbeing & Active Development
We transport and support young people to access local woodland and forest environments — safe, structured outdoor spaces where physical activity and connection with nature promote overall wellbeing. Activities may include guided forest walks, supervised bike riding on designated paths, nature exploration, and reflective time in a calm and supportive setting.
Sessions are tailored to each young person’s needs and abilities, offering a balance of structured guidance and independent exploration. We ensure appropriate supervision, safety planning, and encouragement throughout.
Forest and cycling sessions support:
Emotional wellbeing and regulation – natural green spaces help reduce anxiety, improve mood, and provide space for healthy emotional processing.
Physical health and coordination – walking and cycling develop stamina, balance, motor skills, and overall fitness in an enjoyable way.
Confidence and resilience – mastering cycling skills, navigating woodland paths, and setting personal goals builds self-belief and perseverance.
Communication and social interaction – shared outdoor experiences encourage conversation, cooperation, and positive peer or adult engagement.
Independence and risk awareness – learning to manage speed, follow safety guidance, and respect the environment builds responsibility and safe decision-making skills.
